Renaissance and Religion Poster

Religion Poster

I did an alternate assignment for my Religion Project, because I was in Hawaii.
But I think that very good on it, I put emphasis on where there needed to be emphasis.
I also put a lot of effort into this, rather than the poster.
I also put my bibliography in MLA format, so that also helped. I think I did fantastic on this alternate assignment. I feel proud of my work and I can certainly do better in the near future.

Renaissance Poster

I feel that my Renaissance Poster, would deserve a B because I had to put a
lot of detail into the fine-lining and the drawings. But other than that I think I did
a pretty good job overall, even though I clumped come parts in one place. I know might
have been able to color it, but to me it would have just taken a long time. I am proud of my drawings and information. I like my visuals also, the lighten the mood.

What I learned and Am Most Proud Of

From doing these two assignments, I learnt that not to always rush and
go as fast as you can, but to take your time and to finish it on time.
I also found out that if I were to do things one at time, I would feel more confident
in talking or explaining my Poster.

What I am most proud of is, that I was able to completing it on the due date, and
to not do it the day after and to procrastinate. I am also proud of the job that I did
on this poster I really feel, that I will improve as I go on to do "Future Posters".
It was a nice experience for me to feel that I have the capability to do well in this
and that I had fun while doing it.

Renaissance poster

Based on overall work efforts and time spent on the poster, I would give myself a low A because although my poster has filled up most of the white space, I have added a meaningful quote that related so the fact, I have colour coated every main idea with its supporting facts, added pictures and made sure the title is legible, I was missing parts that was required in the graphic organizer. I didn't add any ven diagrams, graphs, or make connections. My facts were also too long, they could have been shortened to point form but instead turned into long sentences.

From my renaissance and religion project, I learned how to represent information visually, and in point form. I learned that there are many different way to organize notes, and how to make a good graphic organizer.

Religion Project Reflection

Purpose/Intention
We made this poster to help support our facts about each religion we researched about. We had to draw pictures to express the main idea or fact we researched about that would also help with our presentation.

2 stars
One thing I think me and my partner did well in, was making the pictures and symbols large enough and it can easily be seen. We used clear pictures that represented each of our religion, and chose bold images that could easily show which religion it was. Our supporting fact pictures for each religion was represented clearly and related to the facts we had. Overall, the pictures were large enough and related with the topic or fact.

We also did well in connecting each picture with each other. At first we only drew pictures that represented our fact and connected to the religion. But later we realized that some facts connected with each other as well, even from other religions. This also helped us learn a little bit more about the common relation the food customs and dietary restrictions the religions shared with each other.

1 wish
Although our pictures were bold and large, as well as being related to the main idea, our pictures were a bit rushed. We spent too much time researching facts that we ran out of time to add more pictures to represent all the information we collected. We could have added a few more pictures, so our poster didn't look as plain or empty.

Renaissance

For this project, I think I deserve B-A. I worked quite hard on this project and I had used my notes wisely to justify my topics and, organize them into the proper parts. Overall I after viewing my final project, I noticed that I have not taken up the complete space of the poster. I was quite disappointed with that, knowing that I could've prevented that. I would also focus on how big I am doing my work and to also do a few more visuals. I also compared the clothing for men and women, which turned out to be an important matter. That Rich men wore cotton, satin, or velvet. As the poor wore cheap fabrics.

Religion Poster

Religion Poster 2 stars, 1 wish
I displayed my information in a simple manner for it to be clear.
I showcased enough information so I could expand while presenting.
I wish I could have put more drawings to aid the audiences understanding.

Renaissance Poster

I would assign myself a B since I made it so it would not be overcrowded and not clear to read but in turn that might have made it look as I didn't have a lot of information.

I learned how and when to use a visual aid such as my Religion Poster and how and when to use a graphic organizer such as my Renaissance Poster.
A visual aid is more useful when you are presenting your information in drawings that way you can expand while presenting.
A graphic organizer is more useful as a study tool because you can make connections between sub-topics.

Renaissance and Religion Reflections

Religion Poster
What I think I did well on for the religion poster is... that I added some good colors so I didn't have just black and white. I also think I put a good and descent amount of pictures. What I could've done better was add more information and have more detail to fill the page. the reason for this is, because I felt like my poster didn't fill that much space, although there were a good amount of pictures.

Renaissance Poster
I think my Renaissance poster would be graded a B, because I think I could've put my details more in point form then having them in "big chunks". I also think that I could've have put more pictures/visuals, although I had trouble thinking what type of visuals to put (I could've asked my friends and family member)

**had trouble uploading picture**

What I learned and what I am most proud of
From these two assignments I learned that its WAY easier to work on this little by little, bits by bits. That way I don't procrastinate. But overall I am most proud of my Renaissance Poster and found that it was easy to do the project bits by bits. I think it helped me to do all my future "Poster Projects" by making notes, making my rough draft to make my Web well planned out.

Definition poem
Its head is like a kernel
Yet soft and with strands
It's body, thin, thick,
All holds everything in place
It brings an artist to life
Yet can also kill them
It makes such beauty, such art
And can have everyone standing on their feet
But after one wash, it's all gone
But the secrets will forever stay

Definition Poem

I create beautiful works of art
And compose magnificent pieces of music.
I solve complex problems with my dexterity
And answer the previously unanswerable.
I generate ideas unheard of
And realize fantasies.
I can be supportive
And give courage, passion, and energy.
I establish peace within those in turmoil
And lift up those needing strength.
I am a messenger sharing a myriad of inspirational messages
And I enlighten the ignorant.
I won fights with death over countless lives
And I help the sick and heal the wounded.
Yet
I am the one that claimed the lives of those who died unnaturally, and not by accident
And I turn a blind eye to those writhing in pain.
I communicate slanderous and malicious messages
And I corrupt the innocent.
I drive those already in need to desperation
And I pretend not to hear the cries of the helpless and weak.
I suppress those I deem less powerful
And in me you'll see coldness, callousness, and selfishness.
I oppose ideas against stigmas of my own creation
And I am skeptical to all that is not concrete.
I create stir up trouble with my manipulation
And deceive others with false solutions to their problems.
I shun those that do not meet my standards of beauty
And I bend and twist the truth like a candy cane,
All at the same time.
What am I?

Visual Aids - Religion Project vs. Renaissance Project

The purpose of the religion project poster is to serve as a visual aid for the oral presentation, by enhancing it, and the purpose of the renaissance poster is to serve as a study guide to look at while studying with information organized in a web.

2 stars for my religion poster-
1. I had my poster divided into sections so it would be easier for the audience to see what information is related to which category.

2. I have neat and colourful pictures with relevant captions so that the audience can have a better understanding of the message I'm trying to convey, and I have an idea of what to say without reading
off of my poster.

1 wish for my religion poster- My writing could be a bit bigger and neater so that it would be easier
                                                 for the audience to read.

Renaissance poster reflections: I would assign myself an A because I used colour coding, different bubble shapes for categories, sub-categories, and details, and my graphic organizer had white space between the bubbles. I had an appropriate title and I wrote my name on my poster, and I used different thicknesses of lines for different connections, and I had connecting phrases in some places to aid in understanding the information on my poster. The information I put on my poster was in my own words, and I have some pictures to support the textual meaning of what I wrote. I also have a legend in the bottom pointing out what the different bubble shapes and special markings mean.

From the two projects, I learned how to effectively display information for enhancing an oral presentation and how to organize information on a graphic organizer used as a study guide.
I'm most proud of my clear and easily understandable visuals on my religion project, which I spent time thinking of ways to draw clearly and simply.

What can run,

but never walk.

What has a mouth,

but never eats.

What has a bed,

and never sleeps.

what keeps running,

continuously.

Where can you see a reflection,

besides in a mirror.

In me.
